ALTEN manufactures high quality, Made-in-the-USA DC (direct current) generators, supporting our long-term vision of providing energy security at the outer edges of the grid and beyond. Our experience and enthusiasm for developing dependable energy solutions is our commitment to you.
As a young company, ALTEN cofounders bring valuable business experience and technical knowledge together with a unique design to strengthen the electrical grid at outer edges using a DC energy platform. We started with our own line of DC generators as a key support component for DC battery storage and distribution systems.
New distributed energy technologies called the Smart Grid aim to pinpoint grid weaknesses, where up to two thirds of our nation’s generated electricity is lost in transmission. As an innovator in the Smart Grid revolution, ALTEN is focused on applying cost-effective technologies to strengthen the outer edges of the grid. ALTEN provides reliable DC solutions for customers to be less grid dependent or grid neutral.
